I was 4 points higher than the recommended number. And they keep trying to push a 3 hour test, but I was only 4 points above so I feel like I don't have to. @tiffrae

Well you should still take the test if you failed the 1hr but for her to just assume you have it is silly...

tell them to prick your figure and check your sugars if she's that concerned. Going to a different hospital is just stupid.

And they want me to have 2 non stress tests a week like just because of my weight. I think it's completely unnecessary. Baby is developing fine and at a good weight and moving perfectly. I don't see why I'm getting so much harassment over this. @babymay2016

Yeah I would really not be okay with that... I was slightly overweight before pregnancy and I have gained like 50lbs and I'm 33weeks. My doctor doesn't treat me any differently than any other person and doesn't even mention my weight to me. She doesn't want me to do anything different until after I give birth anyways.

Wow that is just ridiculous. I was 185lbs before and now I am at 235lbs. We have talked about it once because I asked about it. She has never mentioned this to me or said anything about my baby's health being in danger because of my weight.

I'm 247 pounds. And they just say the nastiest stuff to me. I get harassed by them. And now they're telling me I can't even deliver at that hospital. I don't know why I keep going to them. It's bullshit. @lil_bigmama My daughter was born 9 lbs 10 oz. and she will be 5 years old on August and she is a skinny string bean and perfectly healthy. I don't see what the hell the problem is with having big babies. I would rather have big healthy babies then small sickly ones.

But my babies health isn't even at risk. Everything is going perfectly. I just feel like they want to talk down to me because i am not a super skinny chick. @babymay2016

I know it would be a hassle but maybe you should consult with a different OB 😕 that's just ridiculous.

That is how I feel at my primary care doctor. You definitely shouldn't have to feel that way or uncomfortable with them because of the things they say. Wtf

Oh I definitely plan on it. I am not going to stand for this anymore with them. It's not right that they can make me do all these unneeded tests and harass me the way they do. @babymay2016

I've lost weight during this pregnancy. I am 216 anytime I complain of being tired I get told I need to exercise more. I was much more active prior to pregnancy now I'm just exhausted.

I honestly have no idea where I will go. The closest other hospital is over an hour away. 😔

if you passed your test for GD then your fine, they can't say you have it if really you don't. who isn't over weight, or goes over a little while pregnant. get a second opinion if you have to

I would change doctors cuz I'm 36 yrs and ftm and I've always been overweight and my Drs have never been made feel different from anyone else I have gained 55 lbs

I would get a second opinion. I am 198 and I don't have it and I was 205 when I got@pregnant

uh, new OB!! they should never assume anything.
