@meagan_garrett, Honestly you will be so preoccupied with your little baby that it won't bother you that much and then it will be gone before you know it :)
i can stand when it burns to pee thats like the worse pain ever to me .. 😐😣 @kad2015
Lol everyone is different love when I had my babies I was in alot of pain but breathing threw the contractions and taking naps in between contractions helped a lot for me and I tore and I had to get 3 stitches and I didn't feel it when they did it because I was so numb from all the pain and it didn't burn me to pee and natural labor my pain stopped as soon as the baby was out it was just the pushing on the stomach from the nurses that hurt the most lol that's all I can say from me you it might be different and you might feel different and recover different just have to really wait and see love
I'm not really sure about the epidural because I didn't have one but I didn't have stitches, and it still burned to pee. I was sore for about a week and a half so it just barely stopped a few days ago. With the Braxton hicks, they feel like an uncomfortable tightening in your stomach but they don't really hurt. Real contractions hurt. You'll know when it's a real contraction.
There really isn't anything anybody can tell because every woman's labor is different... trust me when it happens your body will know exactly what to do for you...but one thing I can tell is the less tense you are during contractions, the easier it is the get through them. Breathing really helps!
Ok, Labor is the worst and best thing you will ever go through. It's hard as hell and hurts like a bitch but the reward is immeasurable. BH are random and not regular so if you start noticing a pattern they are more then likely contractions and start timing them. They also start like a BH tightening in one spot and as the tightening moves up your stomach you'll start having menstrual cramp pains only worse.... it'll get super strong and hold for a few seconds then start to go away. If it takes your breath away or stops you mid walk, that is a good contraction. I had an epidural and it is amazing if you can't handle the pain. I did have a some side effects when it was starting to ware off. Shaking really bad and a headache but once it wore off I was fine. Once the epidural is in you won't be able to walk because you are numb from your mid stomach down but, you don't have to sit completely still once it's in place a stick a huge sticky bandage over it and it won't move. As far as pain AFTER just depends how much damage baby does on its way out. A regular vaginal with a few stitch you will be sore for a couple weeks but be able to walk and everything as soon as your epidural wares off (if you get one) and you'll probably be sore for a couple weeks but should be feeling almost new once you go back for you Post check up. I had a full episiotomy and 4th degree tearing but I was still able to walk right after my epidural wore off. I was in a good bit of pain for a while and had to sit on a donut pillow for a while but I was pretty good by 3 month mark only thing that took a little while longer to feel comfortable was intercourse. Everyone heals at their own pass. I also had a c-section with my second and the first couple days are definitely worse then vaginally but I was fine by two weeks.
