I don't know about decorations, but one of my friends did a door prize type thing, where for every pack of diapers someone brought, their name would go into a drawing for a prize!

Maybe like a festival or carnival theme. And for my baby shower we are having the guest bring a book instead of a card if they want to bring one. I don't want all those cards.
