I have 3 boys and always used a little Vaseline or my nipple cream after I cleaned it...prevents stickicking to the diaper and less irritation.

My son was just born and they told me not to wipe it at all, just put A+D ointment on it with a gauze pad in the diaper. Idk if this helps

And if it has like a yellow piece around his circumcision, it's just the tissue growing back and it's normal. I hope your little guy feels better!!!

My son's doctor told me to never use wipes until it healed completely. Use a wash cloth with warm water for his poops and to drip the warm water over his penis. Then use Vaseline on his penis and use ALOT so there's no rubbing of the diaper to his penis (or use gauze with Vaseline)
