i have a couple questions. how far along where you mommas before you started actually producing…

milk doesn't come in until after baby is born, until then is just colostrum

yeah not until like 3-4 days after delivery does your milk come in. also all insurances that I know of won't send you a pump until baby is born as well unfortunately 🙍

I would check with your insurance to see when they will allow it, otherwise I would say 30 weeks.... and try to get a medela pump

you are welcome mama, it will have no effect on your ability to breastfeed. I leaked colostrum with my son and didn't leak with my daughter and I was able to pump/breastfeed with both of them

Your milk won't come in until after baby is born. (Colostrum production now doesn't really have any bearing on how well your milk will come in though.) Usually you can go ahead and call your insurance company now to see if they'll cover it so you can get it ordered. Breastfeeding is painful at first, but once your nipples adjust and you get into a routine with baby, it's great! :)

You might want to pump some of your colostrum and save it!!!

pumping while pregnant can cause preterm labor

nipple stimulation is the only proven way to start labor, dont pump yet. lol.

You don't produce milk until the baby actually arrives. Your body releases a certain hormone when you give birth that triggers your milk. I'm on my 3rd baby and have NEVER leaked during pregnancy and I was a cow when I was nursing my daughter.

see i am leaking colostrum but thats it. and sometimes they feel soo full.
