@leahh, if you have the mindset of wanting an all natural birth, you'll do just fine. In my opinion my labor and delivery wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I had one dose of something to take the ease off my contractions but it wore off after an hour. When it came to having to push, I was soooo focused on getting my daughter out, I didn't even feel myself tear. I know I felt her coming out, but after she was placed on my chest, I felt nothing but happiness. But just like @mah_mammi said L&D is different for everyone. It's different for everyone, but I also have a low pain tolerance and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I would do it all over again the same way. But I also didn't get the option of an epidural because my son came way to fast @leahh
