Hey ladies, please be in prayer for me and our sweet baby Lydia. I've started showing signs of pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome again. I had both with my first two pregnancies as well and delivered at 36 weeks. I'm starting a 24 hr urine tomorrow and will have a full blood panel done on Wednesday. If my blood work comes back abnormal they will admit me into the hospital and I will immediately have another csection. I am only 33 weeks so I am a nervous wreck and so scared for our sweet baby to be born this early. Please pray all labs come back ok and we can keep this sweet girl in for at least 3 more weeks!
@skysmommy0809, if you don't mind me asking, did your baby end up having to stay in the nicu? And how much did he/she weigh?
praying for you and baby! I had my first baby at 34 weeks and he was very healthy! just try not to stress!!
oh no that's scary. Blessing to you. you are definitely an strong individual. Everything will work out. Only positive thoughts. @debrabeck
Thank you! @babymama2016 @khaliawhite165 it is sometimes considered a variation of a very severe form of pre-eclampsia, it stands for H (hemolysis, which is the breaking down of red blood cells) EL (elevated liver enzymes) LP (low platelet count). There's no definite answer as to why it happens but it is very deadly if the baby is not delivered. I nearly died from it with my first because my liver was shutting down and my platelets were so low that I was bleeding to death internally after my c-section. I had a very neglectful dr who brushed off my symptoms so it progressed a lot further than it should have. I had another dr with my second who caught it within a day of onset and I didn't have any of those scary complications after, thank the Lord.
Prayers for you and your bundle of joy. Could I ask what exactly is this condition?
he was in nicu for 9 days and roomed with me the last night, so a total of 10 days in the hospital. he was 5 lbs 11oz. @debrabeck
