Ever since my appointment today I've been researching anterior placentas..I hope it moves on its on. The fact that it muffles the baby's movement and makes the heartbeat harder to find is going to make me such a worrier this time around.

@sarahdrew today when using the doppler all she could pick up was the placenta that's why we did an ultrasound. hopefully at the 20 week appointment it will be no problem. I bought a doppler for at home I'm excited to try and see if I can catch it

Oh, idk yeah it'll probably move as the baby grow, because your stomach is growing. but I don't think it'll move to a posterior positron. and I have read some women still feel movement when they should in the 2nd trimester. I wouldn't worry honey! 😊

I definitely got frustrated when I didn't feel any movement, not even a flutter by 18 weeks and the next week I started feeling them. Now he punches and kicks and balls himself up and I can't help but love every second of it. I think your baby knows when you can't take the worrying anymore and they let you know they're just fine. My pregnancy has been wonderful!

I know a low lying placenta can move for sure.... I had an anterior placenta and my Dr had no issue finding the heartbeat ever, I even had him listen to placenta sounds once (after I had been in the er and they scared the crap out of me, he wanted to let me hear it and told me it sounded just fine)

thanks @msj1996 that's reassuring. I was so freaked today when she couldn't find the heartbeat on the doppler and had to do an ultrasound to find it. I'm just 16 weeks and haven't really felt any flutters yet. Everything going well with your pregnancy?

@0816mommy, My doctor and all the things I've read so far says that the placenta when anterior will throughout pregnancy most likely move to a more posterior position, it will not be completely posterior but should move up a bit. Just worries me that it muffles the babies movement :/

Don't worry! My doctor told me I had it but I felt the baby flutters at 19 weeks and kicks at 21. He hasn't stopped moving since then and his heartbeat has always been loud and clear
