I've been diagnosed with SPD and just been told most people with this end up having sections, has anyone had this and been able to give birth naturally?

@stephaniex, aww thank you hun...I practiced focusing on what I was doing and breathing and tried not to let the pain and fear take me over...I found when I did that I lost control and became really scared and the pain was worse. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and I felt so empowered after lol xx

I had it and I still struggle sometimes almost 2 months after birth. I had an all natural birth with no pain relief or intervention apart from having to be put in stirrups for the final pushes because I couldn't open my legs far enough myself because of the SPD and that hurt so much. I couldn't close my legs properly or walk well for quite sometime. It's not as bad as it seems and I'm sure you will be able to have pain relief, I couldn't just because my labour went ridiculously fast 😂 x

I had SPD and had a natural birth, for me it's just adding on to my recovery time, taking a little longer to heal and walk properly 😂 x

@stephaniex, I'm in the same boat as you lol, I've also never used pain relief and don't intend to this time either...I find it better without personally lol...and also it does go as you as you give birth, I remember when the midwife told me that I didn't believe her as I'd spent so many months suffering day in and day out, but it really is true! I felt a million times better as soon as baby was out lol. you're very welcome @stephaniex you can do it! and I wish you lots of luck with pregnancy and labour xx

@nadsx316, @baby-2016. Thanks ladies, made me feel much better about that as I'd much rather have a natural birth!xx

this is my 6th baby 5th pregnancy had twins. have had SPD in every pregnancy since my second pregnancy which was 2years after my twins. I've had 3 naturals and going for a natural again. I was induced with in my last pregnancy as I was in a lot of pain also baby was small. I will be induced again as I'm high risk and in constant pain @stephaniex x

I have SPD and have had it with my previous pregnancies but I had a natural birth, I was able to continue through the pain. They offer the c-section as it's an easy option that stops you from having to deal with the discomfort of the SPD during labour, but the c-section recovery time after was no good to me. You can very much still have a natural birth but it depends on you, my friend also had SPD and had 3 natural labours. xx
