It definitely was at first. This is my first pregnancy so I wasn't exactly sure what sound I was looking for and I picked up my own heart beat a lot. But the baby's heart beat is about twice as fast as yours and it literally sounds like a galloping horse. Just remember to be patient and don't worry. It gets easier and easier to find ☺️
