Ladies who have gestational diabetes, how often are you suppose to check your blood sugar levels? I have tried to do research but getting different answers, one site said once before breakfast then once an hour after each meal, another site said just after each meal 1-2hours after. Trying to get the swing of things but still lacking some info.....

ok, so 4 times a day is what I'll do and I guess the 1 or 2 hours depends on the dr? I am gonna have to call in the morning was just trying to get started already. Checked about an hour and a half after breakfast and it was 97 so I wasn't sure if I did it wrong or what cause that's actually a good reading for fasting (well what I've read) @victoriareneesmommy2016

my doctor told me right when i wake up and an hour after breakfast,lunch, and dinner so 4 times a day

I was told 4 times a day one when u first wake up in the am be4 u have anything to eat or drink then 2hours after u eat breakfast same as 2hours after lunch and 2 hours after supper

Call your Drs office. I couldn't find anything online either about testing at home for GD. I didn't take the test so I called the office.
