So I do my best to sleep on my sides but I usually end up on my back.. I haven't had any swelling in my legs but idk how to keep from turning on my back.. and I can afford a pregnancy pillow :(

You're fine. I end up on my back sometimes too. If the baby is in whatever nerve it is that decreases blood flow, you'd wake up and roll over, cause you can tell. And if baby didn't like it- they'd let you know, too.

your body will automatically move if there was any discomfort for you or baby, or if you're still concerned if you have any couch cushion or just extra pillows laying around just use those x

I roll onto my back all the time. I get really bad cramps in my hips and laying on my back and stretching my legs out feels the best. Baby and I normally don't have any problems with laying on my back and I've been doing it for months.
