I know it is a hot topic but my daughter just turned 2months and I want to get her ears pierced asap. I just don't know where to go? our Wal-Mart doesn't do it because neither of their piercers like working on babies. I'm not sure where else to go? I also would like to skip the lectures, I have done plenty of reading and discussed it with her pediatrician who just asked we go somewhere clean and not do it ourselves.

do you have a Claires? they do ear piercing. thats weird your walmart wont. mine was 2 months old 5 weeks early and they did hers. if you have more then 1 walmart i would try them too:)

I do live near a mall! I will call the Claire's there! someone told me to buy my own piercing kit but I would be too afraid to do it myself lol. I don't want to mess up her ears! just want it done before she knows they are there to play with or pull on

yea that's wierd that walmart won't do it. do you have a piercing pagoda where you're at? Sometimes the pediatricians office does it, but I'm assuming yours doesn't or they would have told you 😐

Some hospitals do them(some states require you get them done in a hospital if they're 6mo or younger)!! I'm not trying to sound rude or anything but, I would be careful going to claires or any place in a mall that does piercings, I've just seen way to many problems from those places and would hate to see your LO get an infection. Have you tried any body MOD shops around you?

And try not to use silver for her first set of earrings as to they cause bad infections (not on everybody but most), in fresh piercings.

I've got a couple of numbers to call. I'm hoping I can find something, because I remember how difficult I was when my mom got my ears pierced when I was older. I screamed and cried before the lady even touched me because the gun scared me. she had to take me twice and I threw a fit the second time too. I want to get it out of the way before she can remember it.

I'm going to get stainless steel studs for her first pair and buy a cute pair for her first birthday but for now just the plain studs

I've heard piercing places in the mall are the best place to go because they pierce so often they have lots of practice. Everyone I've known who had the doctor do it ended up with crooked piercings because they don't do them as often. We took our daughter to Claire's.

I agree with @mommy2two1316 I got my daughter ears pierced at a mall at 3 months old and her ear never got infected at all.
