UPDATE AT BOTTOM!! Question: this is my 5th pregnancy, I have three girls from the first three and the fourth we MC at 8weeks in February. With the last two pregnancies I've had to be on progesterone within a few weeks of finding out. We just found out we are expecting this past week via blood work and this pregnancy is very unlike my most recent one. With the last one, my boobs hurt terribly before my period was supposed to start and that's what tipped me off to test. This time, not even a month and a half after the last one ended, my boobs don't hurt at all. I know that progesterone is key in making boobs sore. I'm worried that I should already be on it. Maybe I'm over thinking all of this but I just don't want to lose another baby. My dr.'s office is already closed for the day so I can't call and talk to them. I have progesterone suppositories already that I could start taking but I know I shouldn't without dr supervision... Aggggghghh! What would you think and do? Am I just overthinking? I know all preganacies are different but I just feel like I would be experiencing the same things super early on just like our previous pregnancy since it wasn't very long ago. UPDATE: on call dr called and said to go ahead and take them as prescribed previously because they certainly won't hurt anything and to think of them more as an insurance policy... That they won't hurt but they may help. Thank you all for quick replies and concern! :)
@amber188, @kaylaweilert @mygiftof2016 @sarahdrew just posted update. Thank you all!
Alright ladies, here's the update: on call dr called and said to go ahead and take them as prescribed previously because they certainly won't hurt anything and to think of them more as an insurance policy... That they won't hurt but they may help. Thank you all for quick replies and concern! :)
we found out at the day before Christmas eve lol so I had to wait like three days to talk to them so I took my oral progesterone in the mean time cause I was too scared to wait. hopefully they call u back soon !
@amber188, that's what's happens with the past two pregnancies almost. I think with baby #3 I started at 6 weeks and with baby #4 I started at 4.5/5 weeks.
I took progesterone suppositories to! I called my OB as soon I got the positive and they sent me in a script for them immediately. I didn't wait this time around and started them at 5 week! lol
I called and left a message with the Doctor that's on call. I'll let you all know what he says:) thanks. Just a nervous momma over here :)
but I would not take anything until talking to the doctors first just to be safe btw congrats
maybe you're just very early and haven't felt the signs yet. I didn't when u for preg with my son because I just had a baby 8 months previously
call and talk to the on call doctor.... explain the situation they can tell you if you should use what you have
I'd call the ob office you used last pregnancy and tell them you just found out and won't be able to see the doctor until sometime next week, but because of previous complications you want to know if it's okay to take it or not, the on call nurse should be able to answer the question
good glad u had some answers @tmfeduska,
