When did you start your little ones on solids and what did you start off with?
@raegenice, yes! An allergy can take a couple days to start showing signs of. And we normally start yogurt at about 5-6, but waiting till 6 is fine too! Some babies are content with milk until 5 months. Where others don't seem to stay full long enough. That's kinda the tell tell sign of starting food. Or what we have always gone by. Yogurt we start younger cause it's a really good food when they are sick, and under the weather. They don't have to chew it, and it's really easy on an upset stomach of any kind. So whether they have ear ache or been throwing up, it settles everything down with still getting food in their system.
@candacelouise, okay thank you, I really didn't know that. And yogurt isn't one of those things you should wait 6 months for?
Yogurt is another one we start pretty early. @raegenice
@raegenice, at first oatmeal plan, and then we add bananas. (After of course we tried bananas plan as well) just to make sure they don't have an allergy to anything! Not sure if you know but when you try new things you're supposed to try something new and wait about 3 days before you try something else new. And eggs plan!
@candacelouise, gotcha, do you leave the oatmeal and eggs plain?
@raegenice, yeah it really can! We try and do not very ripe bananas so they aren't as sweet.
@candacelouise, lol I've heard that can actually happen. Hopefully peaches, pears, apples, and bananas won't be all he wants to eat
@raegenice, yes ma'am! Be careful with fruits cause once they taste them that's all they want haha.
@candacelouise, thanks momma 😊 I was thinking on starting with certain table foods like that and mashing fruits and veggies myself.
@raegenice, normally around 4 months. My family's first foods are normally oatmeal, eggs, bananas!
What age did you start giving your kids flavored milk?
