I was still in some pain at 4 weeks. If I was going back to work it would have been manageable just not ideal
@gingyrex, I'm not too happy about having a c-section for that very reason.
@craftycroft, I only have 4 weeks of maternity leave. I'm hoping that's enough time to recover before I go back to work.
They tried the epidural and the spinal on me multiple times before putting me under and then I woke up with a breathing tube in 😩. I don't plan on having another baby unless I can attempt it naturally.
I'm scared because I resist most anesthesia. It wears off or never takes. So I feel EVERYTHING. The idea of feeling someone cut me open and reach in? Nooooo thanks. I wish you the best though! Most women say it isn't actually that bad, but the recovery is rough.
@gingyrex, Oh wow. It's some women who are so scared of getting a c-section and just like you said their anxiety is really getting the best of them. I'm nervous too but hey..you gotta do what you gotta do. My baby had an arrithmyia/tachycardia but it went away. She's fine now.
My mom was put under with my little brother and had a bad reaction to the anesthesia, ended up having a seizure. :\ I think I would ask to put under because I have crazy bad anxiety and tachycardia. The idea of being cut open would make my heart rate so high I'd be at risk of heart failure. But I think typically they don't put you under w\o reason
Baby is still breech..my fibroid is possibly making it hard for her to turn
@babyr061616, @mommytoavery @jasholbert I don't want to be put to sleep. I want to hear my daughters first cry. I just heard it was possible and wanted to know if it's true and under what conditions. I like to know about as much as I can.
I remember asking my Dr if she could just knock me out and do a c-section. I was 18 with my first baby and I didn't know that c-section is so much more painful during recovery. lol
I think they only do it if it's an emergency situation and there is no time for a spinal
It's really not bad from what I heard. They numb you pretty well you won't feel them cutting.
You can but it depends. My platelets are too low meaning of I need a c section I have to be out to sleep because an epidural will give me a stroke because my blood doesn't clot.
I was for my first, but it's not something you can opt for because the babu would get hit with it and could really end up bad.
yes u can but only if its an emergency other then that they typically dont like to put u 2 sleep during it
Yes you can be but you have to a medical reason to be put to sleep. And they don't like to put pregnant women asleep but if they HAVE too, they will.
Ok thank you @craftycroft
