Yeah same happened to me... I was freaking out... and my daughter came out fine... same thing happen to my mom when she was going to have me...

really because i cant stop crying her name is jaylene my lil girl ive prayed for her and god has sent her and this news has me devastated. i had a positive 1st trimester a 1in5 then a second sono put me at 1in24 and niw she says positive with a 75% chance of ds. same thing happened with my sister and nephew and he's perfectly fine and healthy. I shut down all of thoes tests after my first. told me she wouldn't live past two because I tested positive for her having some spinal problem. well they were wrong. she's a healthy, growing and very active 4 year old. I told them to eff off with their BS tests with my son.

yes if id a known all this was going to stress me so i would have opted out. im 34 hubby 28 i have 2 healthy boys and never a problem. i feel great and sonos so far so good. all thus new sciene just gives grief and leads some of us mommas t abort our beautiful babies out of fear. they should be banned. god bless u and ur sister and ur beautiful babies @ray42812

@mamix3_, amen to that! I've met a lot of women who have tested positive for DS and more came out false than fact. if sonos see nothing wrong with your baby than you're probably fine. either way babies are blessings and you will get through this! thank you and God bless you and your beautiful family ❤ leave it to God. he knows what he's doing 😊

I've tested positive as well but am still very excited for my son.. Idk if I am weird but I haven't been upset over his diagnosis at all.. Special children are born for special people.. Be thankful she don't have something worse like trisomy 18 where she's lucky if she even survives birth.. To me all children are a blessing no matter what.. This actually offended me.. i didnt post with the intention of offending anyone everyone takes to news slightly different and some people are stronger than others. never will i love my daughter any less she is mine God given but some news us harder to take than others. Either way she is mine and i love her. i apologize didnt mean for my post ti hurt or mis kead anyone into thinking i dont love my child or have a heart! @mommyof3andabonus

my situation is similar only thing is I just recently took the test and mine tested 1 in 323 and the doctor said it was supposed to test 1 in 350 for DS. I had to take the harmony blood test and I'm still waiting for results. I'm nervous as well cause the doctor said this test will say if it's 99.9% accurate for DS. she said that my results meant that out of 323 woman there will be one that will give birth to a baby with DS. no matter what the number were it's still scary. please also let me share that before this pregnancy I have had 3 miscarriages and 1 stillbirth in a row within the last two years. I have been through so much. it almost ended my Marriage.

@josy, im so sorry for ur losses. its so hard i miscarried in 06 still dont know why but god has given us another chance and we must embrace no matter the bad we hear along this journey. i pray all goes well for all of us. science is never 100% accurate and i am a firm believer in miracles. im a 1i5 which is pretty high your numbers wouldnt have scared me as much but either way ill pray for us. im hear if u need to talk

i did the 1st trimester screening was given a 1in5 then had another sono all looked well was given a 1in24 so i did the NIPT AND IT CAME BACK POSITIVE FOR TRI21 AND WAS TOLD DUE TO BOTH SCREENING I HAVE A 75%chance @mommyof3andabonus

Yeah... Them chances of your baby having DS are more than likely... Did your ultrasound show anything

no my ultrasounds are normal and so was my babys nuchul sac. shes measuring at term and all nose bone seen all factors point other wise its just the blood screening @mommyof3andabonus

no i had no soft or hard markers thats why they are not too sure but i wont do amnio and risk my baby. @mommyof3andabonus

i have an anatomy scan 4.19. but she said as early as 11 wks they find soft/hard markers so imma just gonna wait until th 19th but ive heard if cases like ours and babies born fine. @mommyof3andabonus

You can't be 100% until birth I declined the amnio

well they told me the amnio or cvs is 100% accurate in detecting ds but i have faith in god iur babies are fine and even if they do have ds we will love them unconditionally. did u test positive in both screenings? because not always is placenta dna same as baby or something major like preclampsia is throwing numbers of my ob told me @mommyof3andabonus

No I can't do the amnio due to medication I take

My chances are 1:2 99%

after my last sono my chances were 1:24 then with the second test she said i have a 75%chance they just have to monitor the babys growth with a sono every 4 weeks and she said no soft or hard makers are good signs my placenta may be sending off diff dna than baby and that i still have a 25% chance baby is well but testing at birth and facial and hand structure will tell all.

Yes I have growth scans every month and Doppler readings.. I have also had 3 markers for DS.. His nasal bone didn't show up until about 30wks and he had a bright spot on heart and he has fluid in his left kidney

wao i pray all goes well. i pray every scan i have gives me more hope for good things. Your baby boy is fine. my niece in law was told the same as you and my great niece was born and she is well. Either way they are our babies. i cant wait to meet her🎀👶. my first scan they saw nose bone second scan measured her and all looked good but further scanning is still required. @mommyof3andabonus

Yeah they do it no matter what.. I've already accepted him with DS ill actually be disappointed if he don't have it I have prepared myself
