what's a non stress test? I haven't had that done yet and I'm 37 weeks...

I've had to have NST since 37 weeks. They just hook up monitors on you. One is for baby's heart rate another is for contractions then they hand you a button and any movement you feel from the baby you have to push the button. Sometimes when I went I was just there for 30 minutes other times I was there for 2 hours just depends.

It's not something all doctors will do for every pregnancy. It's an "as needed" type thing to make sure baby is ok. They monitored my baby's heartbeat and did ultrasounds to check amniotic fluid @booboolanii & @candacelouise

@candacelouise, They normally only do it if they have concerns. I had one done because my baby was measuring 3 weeks behind.

@booboolanii, ohhhh okay! I was wondering cause my doctor hasn't said anything about it and normally tells me what I'll be doing in the up coming weeks.

oh OK! yes I deff had that done and baby is all good ! thanks love @floress_j and @candacelouise I think they only do it when they feel something Is wrong with the baby. I got it done due too the fact I was in the hospital because I found out I had a gallbladder attack.

They'll monitor baby's HR, movements & i believe contractions & how your baby reacts to them. It's done to make sure your baby isn't in distress.

@theinkedmommy, do you know if most doctors do that at some point? Or only if they feel baby is dressed?

ohhh OK I think that I did have that done but in the hospital only becuz I had gallbladder issues so IG they were monitoring her heartbeat ?
