May I ask why? I know it's really tough in the beginning, but it gets better! It's ultimately your decision though. As much as id like to push breastfeeding on everyone, I understand everyone had their reasons, and a fed baby is a happy baby.
It's just really difficult getting him to latch and I'm trying to recover from c-section my body is phsyically tired I keep getting back and muscle spasms. He feeds really well during the day but at night it's a nightmare and I'm already exhausted from not sleeping and pumping and feeding and not eating it's just overwhelming
I didn't have a c section so I can't imagine your healing momma. I do get the exhaustion and back pain. I kept snacks near the bed, plenty of water and baby nearby so I didn't have to go far. It's really up to you and what you need to do for your baby! Either way it will get easier. I'm 5 weeks PP and have my days. Good luck momma!!!
It's just the hard nights that get to me, I know it'll get easier, I guess I just need to preservere through the pain and exhaustion just wish it wasn't going to take so long to heal @norcalmomma
You could try bottle feeding at night... Everyone says no bottle or pacifier till 4-6 weeks so that your milk is in and no nipple confusion. I did give my son bottles of breast milk here and there. You could try it. You would still have to pump and make sure to burp really well otherwise you will be up w a colicky baby but maybe it would be easier to not fight the latching? If you do make sure to find a nipple that is as close to yours as possible!!!
Some babies don't take to bottles very well so that might be another fight too... Nights were the hardest for me too. I have a breastfeeding pillow that helped a ton!!! It makes it so I don't have to hold all of his weight and puts him right at the level I need him. It really makes it easier for me especially when I'm so tired.
yeah I've definitely been having to bottle feed at night but ir doesn't hinder my supply at least not that I've noticed, it gets a little easier everyday I'm getting used to feeding now so i guess it's just a slow transition to learning new techniques
