one thing they always told me was to eat before I came in and to make sure my bladder was empty. and alot of the time when he wasn't moving they would give me ice cold water to wake him up before they used the buzzer and that usually worked! like I said it just gets boring sitting there that long lol cause all u do is lay there and push a button everytime you feel baby move
Lol drink one before you go in. I always made sure I ate something I knew my baby liked and he was usually pretty active. they used this buzzer thing on my belly to wake him up a couple times but other than that he was always moving. I never had to stay extra.
@bbyenolan22, I wonder of they'll let me have a slurpee lol probably not, but wishful thinking. @mommy2liamandnoah luckily I don't have too far to go lol he likes to chill in there lol
it'd not bad at all just monitoring everything. I had to have them once every week for about 2 months! it just gets boring lol. plus if you baby isn't active enough you have to sit there longer until they have good readings.
@bbyenolan22, @kimberlyyyy & @theinkedmommy I've never had one with my other 2. so I don't know what to expect. I cried all the way home & even in bed. you guys have really made me feel 1000% better 😊
I always thought it was a special time. I got more opportunities to see my baby in ultrasounds and hear his heartbeat. 👍🏼 I was monitored because he was measuring small and had low amniotic fluid with both of my sons.
ohh ok @theinkedmommy he's measuring 2 weeks behind. I'm 36 weeks in the ultrasound she measured him at 34 weeks. lol I always have to yell at his sister lol.
I had a few. my daughter is kinda lazy lop and was before birth. so they did those to make sure she moved enough. never had anything negative come from one
@s_n_tmommy, Not necessarily. I had to have one because my baby was measuring 3 weeks behind at the end of my pregnancy. They just want to make sure the baby isn't stressed and is ok.
I had them 2x a week for the last 4 or so weeks of my pregnancy with my first son. It was better than the constant 24/7 monitoring I had with my second.

I did 2 a week. If you've had any issues they do that to make sure baby is moving enough. It's ok :)

They just strap you to the monitor and you sit there for 30 or so minutes. That's all

@s_n_tmommy, I've had one. It just monitors baby's heartbeat for about 30 minutes.
