And I was only making that point cause you said people don't get their kids taken for smoking cigarettes and i was just stating it's cause they are legal so they can't do it. cigarettes are legal in all states that's why they can't regulate it and take babies away for having nicotine in their system they could if cigs were illegal. And that's why the federal law was passed because of crack,cocaine, etc. I'm sure with weed they would just drug test you for a month cause its not a huge deal in pregnancy it hasn't caused any issues that they have seen medically yet. but if a baby came out addicted to crack or whatever I'm sure it wouldn't be just a simple drug test for a month it's it's bigger deal. I'm my opinion none of it is worth the hassel of messing with dhs all for a quick high every once in awhile? no thanks. @novasmother

You're acting like I attacked women or parents who smoke weed. I just simply stated why it worries me to see parents do it and my standing when it comes to my own children. @novasmother

not against weed or anything at all but just a heads up they do check baby for drugs once they are born its a new federal law and if baby tests positive dhs is contacted just a warning to everyone choosing to smoke while pregnant. also alot of doctors not all but alot will drug test you at every appointment and if you test positive they will also contact dhs. they are trying to limit the use of drugs in pregnant women.

They found Weed in my friends system and they let her take her baby home they just came to her house for a month straight drug testing her..y'all talk about weed so much but do you know how many crack babies are born... cigarettes are way worse than weed but mfs still take their kid home

My biggest struggle with it is the current legal standing of it as well as a few other things. In my state it is still very much illegal, and I can't condone doing anything that could risk a child being with it's parents. While not all do, I've seen tons of mom's who will have it on them in the car and stuff with their kids. Like, if you get pulled over you could be risking everything. Additionally, parents who do it while their children are awake. I wouldn't want someone under the influence in a position of responsibility of a child. Like, I wouldn't want someone who was intoxicated on alcohol, or high on prescription drugs watching my child, same goes for weed. That's just my own personal opinion though, and I keep it to myself unless I am venting about someone in my own personal life. I don't speak out on what anyone else does that isn't in my life, it doesn't effect me. But I do enforce my opinion and standards in my relationships. Once it is federally legalized my opinion may change as far as recreational use, but my point still stands on not having my kid in the responsibility of someone under the influence.

@novasmother, @candacelouise yes! I wasn't eating anything and I would hit a joint and amazingly able to eat and nausea was gone all day... to each is their own but with weed..I've come to conclusion people must have a imaginary stick hiding you know where lmao

Shoot weed has been proven to harm nothing. Literally. It's better than some medications they have you take while pregnant! I've never smoked before but, I don't care if people do. It's way less harmful than so many things out there! @kim5309
