fuck this. child care is expensive and I don't trust it. ill be a stay st home mom st least for 5-6 months. so if my boyfriend wants to work and provide while I start my degree for school and take care of our son so be it. its not lazy to stay home with your kid and get assistance. especially since this country has no mandatory paid maternity leave like other countries.

I think its fake but I do think there should be a limit to how long you can get assistance for. In California if you are on welfare they pay for your child care so you can work.

they need to just go ahead and fix the system. live and let live.

with babies getting killed in daycare.... most day cares that states approve of are very shitty places. there are working mothers and families that do need assistance. often times it seems people forget this. the more the mothers work the less assistance they receive. which you feel would make sense but in many cases it is leaving families in a rut. I worked full time paid above minimum wage I struggled to pay rent plus my other bills due to the outrageous cost of housing there. i had to work 14 hour shifts with very little days off. housing there was a minimum of 1000 dollars a month for a apartment. soo much of society is based off two people incomes. the system needs fixing.
