Had a OB check up today, she said I've gained 20lbs so far... she didn't seem to think that was good or bad. I'm curious what is "normal" to gain. I was overweight before pregnancy so I think I probably shouldn't gain as much as other women but I don't know.

http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/BMI/bmicalc.htm This is really accurate! I did it before I had my first ultrasound and it said I should gain 25-35 pounds. My OB says I should only gain 25, so I would go with the first number.

To be honest I think it's a huge rang pre my son I was 140lbs I was told 25-35 pre my daughter I was 165 and told 25-35 and again my third pregnancy I was 165 and told 25-35 and according to my height and all I'm considered over weight my normal range of healthy weight should be 113-153 lbs and I'm sure age plays a nice role in what they would want you to gain my son I went over board and I gained a good 50lbs my daughter I only gained 12lbs thanks to all day morning sickness and so far I'm 24 weeks and I haven't gained any thing yet I'm still sitting at 165lbs
