Yea I'm getting a 14 inch one (bc that was the only one in stock online) that's mesh so he can't get stuck in the bars but so he can still breath if he rolls up against it

With my first son I had a regular bumper I kept him in our room in a bassinet at first then when we moved him into his room I was still nervous having him sleep in the crib with a bumper so I ended up getting a mesh bumper.. Everyone is different, though obviously, but they do have mesh ones in all sizes and it may make you feel more comfortable especially when they are a little older I know my son used to love to bury his face in the side of the bumper that's what made me so very nervous.

I have a bassinet in my room for her and one that's deeper for when she gets moved to her room the crib won't be used till she's moving well @marissamiller

I heard the bumpers aren't good for the babies they can suffocate you might want to get the one with holes that are breathable .
