Did membrane stripping work for anyone? And how long did it take for it to work?

I was 39 weeks when I had mine done, I believe it was a Monday and all that I believed resulted from it was the loss of my mucous plug over the next couple days. I started having contractions Friday night, went into active labor Saturday morning/afternoon and gave birth that night 9:32pm. & Sunday was my due date.. my doctor said it can be different for everyone.. I imagine! I'm only 37 weeks but I'm losing weight and not able to keep food down. So my doctor wants her to come out. @me ssc27

@tenlieghsmom, I was 1cm dilated and 85% effaced...I'm 39+4 today. I was pretty crampy after I had it done, and had some irregular contractions but nothing that lasted. I am so ready for this baby to come!
