I would like to hear opinions on smoking MARIJUANA while pregnant...

I know a few people that have and nothing is wrong with their kids. I personally wouldn't but to each their own.

@brand_3, I've heard a lot of positive things about just marijuana during pregnancy!

My bf had to so she could eat her doctor even knew about it and told her as long as she tested negative at delivery as well as the baby Cps would not get involved

There are no real harmful effects that I've seen documented, however, there are cases where babies have been born healthier and bigger because the mothers were able to eat, exercise and function through their, otherwise, debilitating morning sickness. So, IN MY OPINION, if it helps you, it's better than other, more chemical options.

I smoked with my son until 6 months pregnant it helped with my back pains and chronic morning sickness my Dr told.me.he has never seen negative effects from a baby being born when the mom smoked weed. My son has no health problems, he is advanced at certain milestones and right on track with others he is very smart and he is a really chill baby only cries when he is tired or he wants food and I'm not making it fast enough. I know tons of women who smoked weed while pregnant and there babies are super smart. My mom smoked when pregnant with me for the whole 9 months and I turned out perfectly fine. But I will say this if your state hasn't legalized weed you will have to flush your system 3 months before you have baby they will drug test the baby and if baby is positive for weed cps will be called that's the only downside if it hasn't been legalized

@kikobear1996, I always thought, if they are using it for medical reasons, in states where it's legal, then it shouldn't be more help then harm.

I'm confused as to why anyone would, but I'm the type of person who doesn't even feel comfortable taking a Tylenol and will just push through a headache. To each his own, but I choose not to use any mind altering drug while my child is inside me. For someone that has other medical issues and would take medications otherwise I'd understand them choosing weed over pharmaceuticals.

my friends sister smoked and her doctor told her it was fine ...it doesn't hurt the baby at all its a natural substance it's like drinking tea

Marijuana isn't necessarily bad for you, but when you have a baby inside of you that is developing lungs and other organs, you want to make sure you're not inhaling anything bad. I mean, they tell you to stay away from cat litter and household cleaners while pregnant. Marijuana still creates black tar in your lungs. So no, I wouldn't recommend smoking it at all.

Plus, it's still illegal and they still test baby's first poop for drugs in the hospital. Best not to risk having CPS question you about an illegal substance.
