I had SPD with my first. My husband had to literally get me dresses the last month of my pregnancy. I also had to ride the electric wheel chairs at stores haha. but after delivery the pain goes away almost immediately.
@irenebust, At first, I just thought it was the baby's weight BUT I've been feeling this even before he was heavy. Today when I got up something in my lower body cracked into place I don't know what it was but it hurt. I'm going to ask my Dr. next appointment too.
You probably most likely have it! Because I honestly didn't have these pains until the last week. It's unbearable now. I haven't been diagnosed with it yet but I'm asking my doctor about it next appointment @mummm
@irenebust, I don't think I have that but my pubic bone has been hurting since earlier in my pregnancy. Now, that I'm closer to giving birth it hurts even more! I'll get out of bed & I can't even walk & everything cracks!
@irenebust, yes!! my Dr did an ultrasound sound and place his hands on my pelvic bone area & was trying to push down hurt like a sob. so they explained to me I have it.
@irenebust, omg I do & it's killing me. I feel like no one understands me when I try to explain what hurts me
rolling over on side in bed
putting pants on
walking in a grocery store, needing a elderly electric chair now if I go.
can't sit in a car or movie theater unless chair reclines.
getting up to pee every 20 mins. I'm miserable.
yes really! its my first baby as well. Shell be my rainbow baby(: Its actually very rare to get SPD during your first pregnancy. my doctor did a whole bunch of physical tests etc before ruling it as that. He said I was the first women in 10 years he has diagnosed SPD with.
Really?! I was terrified of having a c section. It's my first baby and im already feeling that pain and im only 34 weeks, it made me think I was going into preterm labor or stuff like that.
SPD is actually a good thing, I didn't believe it when my doctor told me either but its just your pubic bone is preparing itself for labor early. I was terrified it meant I'd have to have a c-section and he said not unless something happens during labor because its a good thing my pubic bone is preparing now. it actually increases the chance of having a vaginal birth.
@irenebust, The only thing that helps me is laying flat on your back with your feet flat on the floor (I lay in bed so flat on the bed) and have someone make a fist and put between your knee caps, push your knees shut as much as you can an. hold it for 30 seconds. do that twice before bed and it make such a big difference. Make sure you are also relaxed for at least 15 minutes before doing that so tour muscles are relaxed and you can do more pressure.
SPD is seriously the worst pain I have ever experienced. when my doctor diagnosed it to me and said there was no cure other then labor I was really sad that day but finally came to terms nothing was gonna help and I couldn't whine all day and do nothing with my life so I continued my normal life just knew when to take breaks and knew my limits.
