Anybody have done Perineal massages to avoid tearing?
Oh okay sorry i wasnt paying attention. I think alot has to do with when they start making you push. Like with my newborn by the time they checked them his head was really low he was ready i got him out after two pushes and didnt tear and with my first i had to push for 24 minutes and like i said i had to get two stitches.
@lizette95, I was meaning I didn't massage it. I did tare with my first
@taiboos_mommy16, I'm going too start. I read up on it and it said do not use baby oil just a heads up
My baby was the around the same weight at 33 weeks and he was7lbs with my first i only got two stitches and he was 6lbs11oz. Maybe if you didnt with the first youll be lucky with this delivery
@amber188, You do it yourself or have your SO do it.
my sister told my to use olive oil but I haven't started yet I was waiting for my first dilation check
@lizette95, I didn't with my first baby and he was 7lbs 6oz born at 37 weeks. My baby girl is 5lbs 5oz right now at 34 weeks i'm thinking she'll be around the same or bigger
who actually does it?? I've heard of it but I mean do you go somewhere to get it done or do it yourself? lol I'd love to try to avoid tearing
I didnt and i didnt tear. But i heard it works
@lizette95, That's the same thing my best friend told me. she said JTS best too let your body guide you on when to push
