How long does it take for breast milk to come in? Feeling a bit discouraged I had to give the baby formula but I'm still trying to pump to get my milk to come in... ive only been getting a few drops of colostrum.

@love160 sorry to hear that. keep pumping...try to massage your breasts about 5 mins beforehand and while pumping keep massage your breasts. look at a pic or video of your baby too while pumping. every time you supplement make sure to pump.
Jst drink plenty of fluids(water) and if possible eat oatmeal too tht helps . And try not to stress it will come in mama
baby is having some complications so I can only hold her to change her diaper and to feed her... so I can't have her on the boob all the time or skin to skin a lot...@emiliasmommy15, @suddymaya
24 hrs....just keep baby on the breast and lots of skin to skin.
mine came in on the third day. but don't stress it, I heard that will only make it harder to produce
It took 3days here..bt my daughter was on my boob 24/7
@love160 yes, 20 mins is how long you should pump....about 2-5 mins after the last letdown (or steady drops)
