Question?? When did you guys tell your boss and your job you were pregnant? With my last pregnancy I told my boss as soon as I found out well a week after and I told HR when k was 5 months. I'm wondering when did you guys tell them? My coworkers know right now just not my boss or HR.
@lexij, it was FMLA paper work that I had to fill out. @calebsmommy1121 I think I was about 14 weeks when I told them, I work at two different places and told one at 12 and the other at 14.
@lexij, FMLA or maternity or hints of that nature. So when you're off to have the baby you'll know when you're able to come back to work and so forth. The doc has to fill out some paperwork and send it back to your job too
what paper work do you guys get? nobody said anything to me about any paper work and everyone knows.
@schu35, I will let my boss know too. How early were you when you told them?
@calebsmommy1121, it's ultimately up to you. I personally did not feel comfortable telling them right away. My coworkers knew almost instantly because I couldn't hide my excitement. When I finally told my boss they sent me paperwork right away that needed to be filled out by myself and my doctor. And luckily I started switching my hours with another employee when I had doctors appointments. Now that my work knows they are very understanding with me having off due to appointments. You will know when the time is right momma :)
@schu35, I was wondering should I wait awhile too. That might be a lil ways tho because I would have to start having them send the paperwork to me and all. Seems like everything takes forever here
@lexij, I told my boss when I was about 6-8 weeks last time. Was just wondering should I wait a bit. I believe I will tell her after my confirmation app my first prenatal appointment on April 15th.
tell them whenever your comfortable. I know some people like waiting til after the first trimester. I'm very open with my boss because she's a nurse. she understands and tries to help with whatever she can.
it shouldn't matter. they cant do anything about it. the most annoying part to me is that everyone is asking questions and acting like I can't do my job without extra help. which I know is a good thing. just gets a little over bearing sometimes.
Hmmm. I'm just wondering when is it a great time to tell her @lexij otherwise I'll be taking off for doc appointments
@schu35, I had FMLA too
