How much does an epidural hurt?.. Im so anxious.

@daniellethomson, not that bad, honestly it's way more sore afterwards! Plus I hear, you don't focus on that pain because you are way more focused on the contraction pain you're having

I can promise you not as bad as you think. I can't even get an IV with out crying like a giant baby and I could do it.

So Im good with iv and I watch them take my blood. I should be good with taking an epidural then?

I heard contractions are kinda like really bad cramps in the calf but instead in your stomach.

absolutely. I asked the nurse to hold my hand because I was in the OR and my SO wasn't allowed in until after they prepped me, but just exhale as deep as you can and focus on your breathing.

Okay. I feel confident then. Breathe out when they put it in, and focus on my breathe.

I didn't even feel my epidural.... my mind was way too focused on how bad my contractions were hurting!

Eh, more like a little bit uncomfortable to me, then some soreness afterwards. You can do this!
