I already had the chicken pox ....in 1998 lol And the clinic I go too calls me and said I need to come in to get blood…

I've heard if you're on Medicaid or free insurance they run as much on you as possible to make money. This last appointment I had 16 tubes of blood drawn. :/

they check to see if you still have the immunity, you can get shingles later in life if you have had the chicken pox, I had a bunch of blood taken at the beginning of my pregnancy

you can get chicken pox twice

but if you've had chicken pox before, I'm not sure why they would want testing. I wouldn't allow them to unless they give you a good reason why

yeah no I've only had blood work done once then a second time for Mt glucose test. you have the right to refuse any type of medical care they are full of shit that's how my clinic was trying to have me come to the Dr 3 days a week for my OB ck up NST test and fetal movement ultrasound since I had high BP before pregnancy but throughout my entire pregnancy my BP has been perfect so they want that extra money since I'm on medicaid

in all reality it depends on the tube and what additive (if any) is in the tube. some tubes are used for multiple tests (corvacs) while others can only be used for a certain test. I'm a lab tech btw. there are tubes that you can run six tests from, but others can only be used for a single test. I know it's awful to have so much blood drawn, so I feel for you. hope this didn't come off as rude momma

I had chicken pox twice. Once when I was 2 I had it mild only about 20 spots. Then again when I was in first grade and I had hundreds of spots. It was very uncommon the doctor said, but my sister also had it twice.

They are wanting to check if you are still carrying an immunity to chicken pox. it doesn't really last forever, you can catch it again later in life after your immune system changes.

Anytime I get blood work it's at least 6 vials. Blood bank, hospital, literally anywhere.

When i got bloodwork done they used 6 tubes and it was sooo painful. Every time they had to change tubes i can feel the needle moving! Ugh terrible.
