Maybe she just let the baby taste it.... People let babies taste lemons and pickles at a young age just to see their faces and that isn't good either, there is such a thing as sodium poisoning...... JS

I'm sure that any research out there says that chocolate cake is bad for babies..

Chocolate cake is way too much sugar, I'm more than likely starting my son on solids at 4 months because of his reflux and poor weight gain, so I'm sure I'll get judged too. There just needs to be some better judgement in the foods being fed in my opinion@snowbaby313

I am a mother of 6, soon to be 7 children, and I have started my kids on baby food at 2-3 months old and they were eating whatever we ate by 4-5 months old. Yes I agree with the soda on the paci thing but even regular whole milk has sugar in it, so before we pass judgement let's do our research!

I saw that also and just shook my head and skipped it. no words what so ever!! my kids didn't get chocolate till their first birthday and that was just their cake and no candy till 2. that's just how we are.
