Will hospitals allow 5 year old to stay in there, while their mom and dad are getting ready for the next baby? Has anyone come across such situations

Check with your hospital. Mine will let your child stay in the labor room with you.

check with your hospital.  mine doesn't let them stay overnight and I can only have 3 people in the delivery room. so my older kids won't be there but I'm sure they'll visit at some point.

Some hospitals will alow it, you would just have to ask!

I don't believe they allow children in the room while your in labor since it can be very traumatic for children so young.
