What is the average time your SO should take off after baby is born? My fiance asked a while ago so…

My hubby took a month off n a week now before labor but he's in military

My husband took 2 days off at home plus 3 in hospital

unfortunately my fiance can only take 1-2 says off since he started a new job and it's considered a family emergency.. but his parents are both taking a week off which I'm not happy about

@francesgln92, after I had my twins their father had just started his job too so he didnt really get time off and they were in the hospital anyway. but my fiance now has a good job and has been there for a few years and never takes time off so I know he will be able to get some. He mentioned his mom taking time off too and I dont like that either. @cheche27 @bella021 ok thank you!

Yeah his mom told me that the whole week their off they will be spending time with my son and only five him to me to feed him and I need to stay in our room while he's in their room. I just looked at her crazy like wtf that's not happening

Guys at my husband's work have taken 1-2 weeks off when their babies were born. My husband may only take 1-2 days off depending on how labor goes. But he is allowed to take up to 12 weeks off.

@francesgln92, that is so frustrating. 😕 I understand them wanting to be helpful but I also need to get the hang of doing things on my own and getting a routine. especially since I have 2 kids already. I will just want time with my new family. @babynessa ok! I will have to make him ask about how much he is allowed.

My husband gets 3 weeks leave he's military

my husband gets 1 week to 1 week and a half and he works at the hospital..

mine saved his vacation and has two weeks.

My husband gets 12 weeks paid but he may take week before baby is born not sure yet
