My family loves the name I picked for my son but my boyfriends parents said they are going to pick a name for him and call him that. It pisses me off beyond belief. We are naming him Easton and they don't like it so they are going to call him "Al" it's like a slap in the face. It's not their baby and they are just going to confuse him with that ugly name. If you're going to nickname it has to be similar. I feel disrespected every time I think about it. It's our baby not theirs.

I like the first one if you'd take the s off the middle name....

@rochelleyayy, See thats how my family is. They love the name. The moment I told them his name they wanted to plaster it on everything. They had no judgment and never said anything ugly about it. My husbands family is willing to call him Bjorn but won't mention his middle name unless its to call me a nerd in a bad way. Then they say well if you name him that it sounds too girly he's going to want to change it. THE F*CK! Apparently Bjorn is a "gamer" name yet its a very proud name to have for the people who share my bloodline and I thought they would like it since his family is German and I'm Swedish and dutch. Its just frustrating and very hurtful.

I love it the way it is and would say to hell with what they think. I don't think Bjorn Jackob has nearly the same flow as Bjorn Emrys and I think you've chosen a very unique and powerful name. just my opinion :)

I would sit them down and tell them look here's the deal this is his name if you don't like it keep it to your self. because honestly your opinion is not needed. I don't handle disrespectful people who put other people down to get what they want. it's to the point I'm 5 weeks and have already banned my bfs dad from the hospital lmfao.

I refuse to allow any one who will Bring negativity into my child's first moments any where near me, idc if that makes me the bad guy or not. I've already told him and his sisters not to even tell him I was expecting. it's that bad. so I understand what you mean. but I think you have chosen a wonderful name for your son, and he is just that your son. no one elses. from the moment you found out you were expecting you've made the choices nessisary to give him a healthy and happy place to grow. sick with your guns. and don't let any one try to bull dog you, I already told the bf if any one shows up that I don't want there he is the bouncer.
