Getting induced tomorrow 🙊 I'm scared can someone that has had an induction COMMENT and let me know what process I'm going to go through!
I have never been induced but my doctor did go through the process cause they were going to induce me at 39 weeks. He said you go in and they register you (ask about 2 hours worth of questions about your medical background and the babies fathers medical background and your families medical background) then they take blood and start an iv drip, depending on how effaced you are they might put a pill into your virgina and all that pill does is soften your cervix, then they come one very hour and take vitals and see if you have made any progress after 4 hours if you haven't made any progress they'll up the pitocin (iv drip) and so forth. Good luck momma you got this!
My sister was induced. They had her come in the night before and started her on cervidil. It has to be in to soften the cervix. I think they monitored her son for a little bit as well but I'm not sure, and then the next morning they started her on Pitocin and her IV, broke her water and she had her son that day. She had an Epidural and her son was born at 4 in the afternoon. It was pretty simple. I'm scheduled for a c-section for Wednesday. I'm nervous too but it will all be okay. Good luck, mama!
I went to the hospital at 7pm and they put cervidil on my cervix to ripen it. (don't know if everyone does that) the cervidil had to stay in for 12 hours so at 7am they took it out and I had dilated from 1 to 3. they started pitocin at 830 and increased the amount every thirty minutes. really wasn't bad until they broke my water at like 3. my contractions got so intense I got the epidural at like 4 (and hallelujah glad I did) I pushed for thirty minutes and baby was here at 645. I was terrified of getting induced but it went perfectly! praying the same for you mama!❤
Thanks y'all.
