can pumping too much, dry out my milk?

exclusive pumping is a different ball game, an oversupply is almost better. it's just worrisome in mons who do both. pump as much and often as you like. use any tricks you can to get as much out as possible(:

skin to skin is very important for more than just breastfeeding. it will help you pump more, but it's also good for baby. regulates body temp, heart rate, preventing SIDS.

Oh then you'll want to pump as much as possible! especially since the machine doesn't get as much as what baby could. plus you could possibly store some if you have to add in more pumping sessions later

the more you pump, the more you'll produce.. are you exclusively pumping or pumping and breastfeeding? because doing both can give you a huge oversupply which could be uncomfortable for baby and you both

no. I've only been pumping, it's because he's in nicu & he's not taking formula well & his feedings are every 3 hours

Yes. You're baby isn't a full week yet. You're actually not suppose to be pumping just yet. Are you feeding the baby from your breast also?

Yes. If you're producing more than what your baby needs it can lead to engorgement and even clogged ducts. Clogged ducts can lead to mastitis. I have it now so I wouldn't tell you wrong.
