No judging but my son is going to be 2 in August and I am finally going to get rid of his bottles. Its been so easy to just give him his milk and lay him down for nap/bedtime but he's not even really drinking the milk anymore and now he likes to push the nipple in and yell "uh oh" and then scream bloody murder if we don't go fix it for him. I figured its probably the best time to get rid of them with the new baby coming in the next couple weeks. I just hope I can do this. I'm so nervous I feel like I could throw up. 😩🔫
She waited till she was at school and she took all he bottles away and switched to the soft nipped sippy cups
@snowbaby313 I will keep them around just in case but he's good with drinking water and juice out of the sippy cups so I think with a little pushing he will get the hang of milk in sippy cups.
@abeals04 that's a good idea. If cold turkey doesn't work I may try that.
I would keep one bottle, so that he isn't trying to take baby's when the new one gets here. Only allow him water in it though! I had to do that with my kiddos! Just a suggestion! @naomilynn21
well don't let him win!! your the mom push it on him!! he needs to get off the bottle it will mess up his teeth
My mother in law told my niece that the bottle fairy to the bottles to clean them for other babies
@ktwins188 we tried giving him sippy cups when he first turned one and his pediatrician recommended we get rid of the bottle but he wouldn't drink his milk from them. he would just take a sip and then push it away. Bottles were the only way we could get him to drink milk but we also didn't really try to push milk in the sippy cup on him.
@abeals04 thanks for the idea! 😊
