You could always have a "sip and see" shower after the baby is born? Invite them to come meet the little one. People are more likely to buy gifts for a baby they can actually meet! :) No body can resist adorable babies!

That's the thing, I didn't want gifts. I just wanted people to care. @gingyrex

Id drop hints like on facebook or something "Wish I could afford this.." and such

If the gifts dont matter then just have a get together with people you love for you and baby.

@mamajuls06, no thanks, because I'm not gonna beg people to do something or even hint at it. It's just a slap in the face, especially at work, because no one else had to ask for people to care enough to throw a party. If they don't, well that's great, glad to know where I stand. But it's not fair to my son that people not caring applies to him too :'(

@daniellethomson, I may end up doing something, but it's heartbreaking that no one even wanted to make an effort, let alone ask me about it.

At least you didn't have someone ask to throw your shower and then tell you they changed their mind because they'd rather get drunk all the time. My SIL is such a peach. -.- Sorry that they hurt you.

yeah i was kinda sad about it but i was like screw it im having a baby shower as a celebration, forget everybody else.

yes i actually did! Everybody i invited came, it was very rrelaxing, so im glad i did it (:
