When do you plan for maternity leave?

How long do they give you ?

I'm gonna try to work until baby comes,we'll see how that changes the more uncomfortable I get. Most doctors will let you after 35wks but I want more time with baby vs just sitting around before labor. haha

fmla in nj gives u 12 weeks unpaid.. i have to exhaust all my sick leave then go on disability

I plan to work until baby is here. then I only want to take 3 to 4 weeks off. I took 3 weeks off with my other two. so if everything goes as planned I'll take 3 weeks off this time to.

@lilfree16, how do you go and just get disability? My job does not offer me maternity leave or anything like that so I kinda don't know what to do other than just quit my job

well hr handles it at UPS .. they contact my insurance and they take care of it. here in jersey they have to give u at least 6 weeks.. 12 tops.. if u want more u gotta use your personal leave or your vacation

I just discussed this with my doctor and I'm working all the way until I go into active labor lol she says ita good to work and stay active cause it makes for a better, smoother l&d. as far as my job is concerned I'm using FMLA for 6 weeks. you should be able to as well.

They don't give me benefits since I'm part time
