Ok so I'm kind of worried but I'm not sure if I am overreacting. The past three days my belly has been tightening and stuff all day long and today it has just been really tight in my lower stomach area towards my bladder. I called my doctor and she said contractions will go away once I move positions or pee but everything I do isn't helping my stomach is still ridiculously tight and keeps tightening. So any ideas on what it could be or what I should do. My cousin who's pregnant said it could b actually contractions which means he could come soon but I'm only 27 weeks so I'm worried.
I've been drinking lots of fluids and resting when I don't work. Nothin is helping . And no I haven't lost my mucus plug yet. @occdancer83
I'm having the same exact issue lately ive been walking like a grandma... I've read that its your uterus preparing itself for labor and it's not too early for BH contractions. changing position heating pad and lots of fluids they say helps
I had them too and still get them I'm 29 weeks....they started about my 27th week. My dr said its Braxton hicks just my body preparing for the real thing. They come due to stress, dehydration and/or skipping a meal. Just basically relax drink or eat a snack. Have you lost your mucous plug or anything? You will definitely know the real contractions totally different from bh! Hope this helps you so you can remain calm!
27 weeks isn't too early for Braxton hicks, that's actually extremely normal. But like others have said if they start hurting really bad and don't go away when you change positions or drink a bunch of water, go into labor & delivery to get checked just to make sure. You're probably alright though :)
They hurt when I try to sit up but not like really bad. I haven't done anything today but rest because of them. But it's not getting better or worse. So I'm confused. And my cousin freaked me out by saying it could be him coming because I'm only 27 weeks
It's constant. My lower stomach is just really tight. And isn't 27 weeks to early tho?
If they don't hurt you are having Braxton hicks. You need to stop doing stuff, sit down, relax, and drink a bunch of water :) If they are hurting, I would go in and get checked!
They just sound like Braxton hicks but time them to be on the safe sides D try to change positions. Mine goes away after I shift positions but they are so spread apart. If that don't help I would go to L&D just so they monitor your contractions and it can ease your mind. @lexxbugg22
