Am I not suppose to eat if I do the glucose test? My mid wife didn't say anything. But I'm suppose tongs there first thing in the morning to get it done. I'm not gonna lie I'm nervous about tomorrow last week I had to get a stress test and everything was fine the hostipal said. But my old friends make me nervous my son has been moving. Just a little each day. But does anyone know if I'm not suppose to eat ? Before he test or drink

@rissa1901, you can eat and drink before you drink the stuff but I was told after I drink it not to eat or drink anything else. I was also told to drink it a half hour before my appointment and when I get to my appt to let them know what time I drank it. Also was told that I have to drink it in no longer than a 5 min time span!
They didn't tell me anything just gave my slip to do it and to get two blood tests. Do u think I should fast ? And how many hours ? @m173

That's the 1 hour test... If ur elevated after the 1 hour test you have to take the 3 hour hopefully u won't have to worry about the 3 hour test
It doesn't say on the slip how long so I'm guessing an hour right? It just 50gm glucose test @mommy2b2addysen
I know when I did the 3 hour tolerance test I had to fast but not for the 1 hour test
@rissa1901, I'm just not going to eat anything sugary that morning. my nurse recommended eggs and toast with butter instead of cereal or yogurt
