yes, it could possibly mean longer healing time but removing parts of you are the same regardless (you have the same chance of infection)

it is because you need to wait for the wound to heal from your placenta coming out. if you don't you could get an infection. you can not even use tampons u til the Dr has checked to see if it healed properly.
