Went to the market this morning and bought a 6 pack of beer along with a bunch of other groceries. As I was paying, the cashier looked at me and said, "I hope you're being responsible enough not to drink any of that"
For the simple fact of not wanting to make a scene, I just politely said, "no I'm not, just cooking with it. But even if I was, you shouldn't make remarks like that. It's really not your place to judge anyone who does."
I think I handled it okay, compared to what I wanted to say in my head lol

Yea I hear ya I havnt been buying any beer for my hubby during this pregnancy because of judgey people. anyone's comments make me bawl my eyes out. bleh.

I would have been such a smart ass and said something like "obviously you can't be professional enough to not worry about what a customer is purchasing. But since you are so concerned... " What ever reason you are purchasing a product and they should not make any comments what so ever about what you are paying for. Smh.

I literally go to the store and buy my fiancé beer and cigarettes and black n milds and whatever else and at first I was nervous about people judging but I say eff them! that dude was just rude

I would've been a straight bitch and been like "oh yeah I'm being responsible I'm going to wait to drink the 6 pack until I get home but thanks for your concern". I hate when people act like that.

I didn't know there were laws against speaking your mind. Everyone judges everyone, that person just had the balls to say their judgement out loud. I give them props to be honest. It's no different than when people judge obese people or druggies or pregnant 18 year olds.. We all make assumptions about other people's lives. Does it NEED to be said out loud? No. CAN it? Hell yes.
