Is it possible to have contractions before your waters go?😩 I'm literally in pain, feel like poo pains but can't figure out what they are???
my first labour pains felt like constipation pains, 12 hours before waters broke
yes yes yes, with my youngest daughter I got contractions and a small show first. My waters went while I was giving birth xxx
You will know when there proper contractions....they were bloody hideous!!@demi_leigh xx
Although I suffered with BH contractions in my pregnancy there was just something different about the real ones that made me know it was time, keep an eye on them... The real deal will get more and more painful and if your creasing over in pain with them give the hospital a call they ask you questions on the phone so they might be able to tell @demi_leigh xxx
Ah okay then Hun, I'll keep my eye out and if they become more frequent I'll phone the hospital and see what they advise xx @zaralee71
It's just so difficult apparently I had a irritable uterus when I was 32 weeks, but I'm not entirely sure. I'll just monitor them throughout the day xx @nadsx316
They're about every 7-10 mins at the moment, I've had a shower and they eased while I was in there, but then started again as soon as I got out... I problem is all your contractions seem so similar to my BH haha! Although if they come more often maybe it is the start. They aren't extremely painful or uncomfortable at the moment, but they do shock me when they come on🙈 my backs in pieces @zoemarie xx
I started feeling really uncomfortable with my back and they start like strong period pains and as your getting them your belly will tighten and then ease once the contractions goes away, how often are you getting them? @demi_leigh xxx
I was in slow labour for 36 hours with my second and contractions were every 10 mins about. When labour kicked off fully it was much harder to handle the pain because it was coming so fast and strong. All my pain was in my back aswel x
@demi_leigh, you're welcome hun, aww yh my braxton hicks were also painful 😖😳 and it was defo tough telling the difference but when the time comes you know, they should get increasingly worse and they feel different (if that makes sense) not to mention that they last longer and come close together and frequently, my braxton hicks where all over the place in regards to frequency. Good luck hun and keep us informed xx
Oh gosh, I know it sounds weird. But what do they even feel like? I'm so used to my BH I have a feeling I won't be able to tell when the real things come. At the moment I get like hip / back ache & very pains similar to period pains, my belly goes hard & she looks like she's trying to escape 🙈🙈 @zoemarie xx
I think I'll see how today goes and see if they're still quite regular. At the moment they're only once every 10 mins, but if things speed up I'll definitely ring the hospital @zaralee71 xx
I had contractions and was fully dilated and then they broke my waters @demi_leigh Xx
Thank you ladies. I've had a bath & things seemed to have calmed down :-) although it's so hard to tell the difference between BH & the real thing because my BH are sooo painful & last 1 minute +😳 @amibeston123 @zaralee71 @emmajo @nadsx316 xx
yes my contractions came first with both my children, my waters were slowly trickling out with my first but didn't go properly until I was ready to push and with my second they were in tact until I started feeling the urge to push and then they gushed out. xx
Yes, my labour was contractions that I dealt with at home until I needed pain relief and then about an hour or so later my waters went whilst at the hospital.. I think it's more common for contractions first than waters first xxx
Yep, contractions started first with both my boys. Waters didn't go until I was being examined by midwife x
@demi_leigh, yh I can imagine...just keep an eye on them hun it's all you can do, either way...you'll know soon enough xx
