so yesterday morning I woke up telling myself I just felt OFF. we were gonna be in town all day and I told Sebastian i had a feeling we were gonna be going to the hospital at some point so if I said to go, don't question me, just take me. so he agreed. so we managed to get his check cashed, he got his Xbox one, went to his fool friends house so he could borrow A game and then play a game or two of cod:AWF. when we went grocery shopping after is when id felt the worst I'd felt all day long. I was walking slowly, I had terrible cramps that went from top of my belly to my vagina and wrapped around my back and through my back. we went to Nene's and some stuff went kinda... haywire there with emotions on people's end but you could register on my face that I just felt miserable. used the bathroom to find that I had passed my mucus plug...well shortly after I had intense contractions that we monitored for an hour. I had 5 AT the house that lasted 30-70 seconds. Nene told me to just go the er. so we did. otw I had 4 more contractions In the car that made me need absolutely no noise. by the time I got to the hospital. I was crying through contractions. I couldn't walk through them so the immediately took me to l&d. when I got into my room I got undressed to put my gown and my belly band on. and I noticed I was dropping fluid. so Sebastian got someone. and she checked my cervix and said I was 2cm dilated and that she could feel fingers. so she had another woman come in and check just to be sure. she said the same thing as well. once again after 10 minutes I was checked again and I was 3cm and she still felt fingers. as we were talking about the cancellation of my induction and in mid sentence, I stopped and said "my water just broke" and she rushed to my bed and moved the Cover and saw the fluid rushing out like a damn. so she said "well you ain't leaving tonight that's for sure. you're officially in labor we'll have to watch you both closely. baby pooped in you so the water has merconium all in it" and ladies.... I just wanna say..if your water ever breaks... just know...that it is a continuous flow until after the baby comes...if baby has pooped.. yes it smells like poopy water and it's a yellowish green color the entire time your water comes out and BTW contractions after your water breaks are INTENSE. I went all the way to 5cm without pain meds. and at 5cm my nurse checked me after I told her I wanted the epidural. and she says "your baby just grabbed my fingers " Xayden had managed to get his hand outside of the cervix into the birth canal. and he wasn't tryin to put it back in. if it was in then he would put it back out. so aftermath few more checks. on call doctor decided it was best to have a c section bc Xayden's heart rate was dropping and he wouldn't cooperate with his arm. so they upped the epidural to make me 100 percent numb. put a catheter in me, and got Sebastian prepped and they had to provide me with oxygen. we got into the OR and they prepped me and let Sebastian in and I guess I was so into my epidural and crying like I was bc I was so nervous about meeting my son. the lady above me says "he's pushing your baby out now" and I immediately said " what!? he cut me open already? that quick?? " that's when Sebastian stood up to take pictures of them pulling Xayden out of my belly. and when I heard Xayden cry. I cried. it wasn't loud and I could hear the fluid build up. once I overheard everything a NICU rep comes to me with Xayden to leg me see him for a minute. they let me and Sebastian takr a picture and then they took him and Xayden to the NICU immediately. I was the. told that Xayden had pooped in me before. and had been swallowing the merconium for some time bc the chord was stained green. and they were suctioning the merconium like crazy. so that's when they finished stitching me up and I was put back in my room. I then find out by the NICU doctor that the merconium had been swallowed that it had his lungs so filled that he could get enough oxygen. and that he kept dropping and gaining then dropping. and that I wouldn't be able to see him much and that when I'm discharged he couldn't come home with me. it may be a few days later for him if he manages to Progress with oxygen. if he doesn't. we will have to take him to Vanderbilt :(. I didn't get to see him until about 2 hours ago in the NICU. I needed to see my little superman. I have faith my little boy is gonna recover just fine. he's been tough since the start. and I just know he's gonna come out on top. I'm trying so hard to keep myself occupied. but it so hard not being able to hold him.
