Hey ladies. I'm 20-2 weeks and days pregnant. And I'm having pains on my right side solely. It's not down low by the baby its up higher, kinda right under my rib cage. The only way I can explain it is that I have had an ascending UTI before and it is what it feels like. I know it isn't a UTI though I have to pee every time I go to the doctors. And I was just at my doctors and everything looks good.
I've heard it can be growing pains. And I've been told round ligament pains. But this has been happening since I woke up a little over an hour ago.
Any suggestions?

they don't test for a uti at every appointment they test for proteins and sugar in your urine with a test strip... if you feel u may have a uti u should have them test further as an infection can cause contractions and if left untreated long enough labor

I ask them to test every time I go. When I had the ascending UTI I didn't have a single symptom up until the excruciating pain as it moved towards my kidneys. So I ask them to test I'll call my doctor and see if they tested for that for sure though

Yup make sure they rule out a UTI. That's what it sounds like to me but I'm no doctor.

I called the E.R and they told me they don't really deal with pregnant woman. To call the doctor on call. I called and I'm waiting for the returned call

I was told it was one out of 4 things. Muscle strain, kidney infection, round ligament pain(less likely due to where it is) , or the cyst on my ovary being large. Was told to try a heating pad for now and Tylenol and if it persists to call on Monday to get an appointment
