Definitely family he shouldn't make u have to choose between them

Sounds like maybe he is trying to hide something! I mean I'm a recluse and I don't like people in my space but even I enjoy family time once in a while! If it's both of yalls house then tell him it's fine that he doesn't want to be around people at his house but since this is a house that belongs to the two of you if he doesn't want to join the family stuff then he can leave or hang out alone in the bedroom!!!!

@mossmoe92, in my family it's only about 7 or 8 at the most and if we ever do anything it's always been at my place, with everyone living far out and me living in the center of town it's just easier for everyone to come to my house. Now granted this is the only time this year they will be here. I don't understand it. Now he's threatening to take him and his which has become like my own and move out tomorrow because of all this. Idk what to do. Lose them or sacrifice my own happiness and just do as he wants. If I lose them that's my life right there for real for the last year and half.

I pick family !

that's a bit controlling. if its suppose to be both of your homes then you should be able to have them over for holidays once in a while. when I first read this I was agreeing with everyone else that, you know, if your gonna start a family with him you have to be ready to choose him. but that doesn't mean you should have to abandon your family. if I wanna spend time with my family and my husband doesn't want to, I let him stay home and go visit them. if he doesn't want them over then you should at least be able to go and spend the holidays with them

That's what I said. We just bought our first house together in November. I wanted Christmas with my family here but he claims he hates having people at his house so I didn't even have Christmas with mine. Now it's Easter and I wanna have dinner here but he says no. I might get to see all my family maybe 1 or 2 times a year. He's actually withholding sex until I agree with him.

I had to make the same decision a few years ago. my family came back around. just give them time and they'll all realize how unfair it is to make you choose. I chose my husband because we have 3 children one on the way and 8years of ups and downs. but he's the only one who has been there for me through everything since we met. sometimes it's the right choice. stay strong momma do what's best for you
