So I have been pumping & bottlefeeding my newborn. I went from pumping five ounces or more in like ten mins to now being lucky to get three or less :( can your milk disappear overnight? Or just by not actually putting baby to breast?

I know you didn't ask all of that lol, but mine is 10 weeks now and I kinda experienced the same thing, just not with pumping.

The first two week a new momma shouldn't pump at all. That's what I know. Put baby on all the time. Baby eating on your boob and pumping is two different things. Your body will know when baby is eating. But whatever you pump out, doesn't say how much milk you actually have. Pumped milk can be less than what your baby is actually eating. Your body will know when it's time for the baby to feed, so if you pump on several occasions, it can be out balanced, if that makes any sense.

Breast pump covered by insurance

I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.

babybump_user You may want to ask your doctor for a prescription for a hospital grade pump if you

babybump_user With my insurance I couldn't get one till after baby was born and it took forever to
